Syllable Labs Pvt. Ltd. respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personally identifiable information you may provide us through any of our products, such as mobile apps or websites, owned and developed by us. We have adopted this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to explain what information may be collected via our products, how we use this information, and under what circumstances we may disclose the information to third parties. This Privacy Policy applies only to information we collect through our own products and does not apply to our collection of information from other sources.

This privacy policy applies to the Radius app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Syllable Labs Pvt. Ltd. (hereby referred to as “We” or “Us”). This Application is intended for use “AS IS”. 

This privacy policy serves as a legal document, and enforceable, like any other written agreement.

1. Data We Collect
We collect basic information you provide when using our app, including:

  • Name, phone number, profile details

  • Photos, posts, comments and other content you upload

  • Location information (for neighborhood-based features)

  • Optional contact details shared by you (WhatsApp, phone number, etc.)

  • Device and usage data (app activity, IP, device model, crash logs)

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account

  • Display your posts, photos, comments and interactions to other users in your neighborhood

  • Help others contact you only if you choose to share your contact details

  • Improve app experience, safety, and feature recommendations

  • Send important alerts, updates, and notifications

3. Contact Information Visibility

  • Sharing your phone number or WhatsApp is optional

  • If you enable it, other users can view and contact you directly using those details

  • You can edit or disable this at any time in your profile settings

4. Content You Share

  • Any photo, post or comment you share may be visible to other users in your neighborhood

  • You are responsible for the content you upload

  • We may remove content that is abusive, illegal, or violates our community guidelines

5. Data Security & Retention

  • We use reasonable security measures to protect your data

  • We retain your information as long as your account is active or as required by law

  • You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time

6. Third-Party Services

  • If you use WhatsApp, phone calls or external links, their own privacy policies apply

  • We do not share your personal data with advertisers or external parties without your consent

7. Your Rights
You can:

  • View, edit or delete your profile information

  • Disable contact sharing

  • Request full account deletion

  • Report misuse or privacy violations via our support channel

You can do this by simply writing to “dpo@syllablelabs.in”; mention app name “Radius – Account information query” and we will respond to you as soon as possible. 

8. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.

Terms of use

By joining, you agree to our Terms & Privacy Policy. Your posts will be visible to your neighborhood. If you share your phone/WhatsApp, other users may contact you.

These Terms of Use (‘Terms’) are a legal agreement between you and Syllable Labs Pvt. Ltd. (‘we’ or ‘us’), the owner and operator of the Radius mobile application (the ‘App’). By using or accessing the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  • Minimum Age & Identity

Users must be 18 years or older and must not create accounts with false information, impersonate others, or misrepresent their identity. Fake, duplicate, bot or impersonated accounts may be suspended or removed without notice.

  • User Responsibility for Content

Users are solely responsible for what they post (text, images, listings, comments). The app is not liable for user-generated content.

  • Local & Relevant Content Only

Posts must be relevant to the neighborhood and in line with community guidelines. Irrelevant, political, abusive, or spam content may be removed without your consent.

  • No Illegal or Harmful Activity

Users must not post or promote illegal items, hate speech, harassment, nudity, fake products, scams, or misinformation.

  • Account Verification & Eligibility

Users must provide accurate details (name, phone number, or location) and agree that their account may be suspended for misuse or false identity.

  • Contact Information is Optional & Visible if Shared

If a user shares their phone or WhatsApp voluntarily, other users may contact them. The app is not responsible for interactions outside the platform.

  • Marketplace / Buy-Sell Disclaimer

The app only facilitates connection. All transactions are at the users’ own risk. The platform does not guarantee product quality, payment, delivery, or dispute resolution. The app is only a platform to connect buyers and sellers. We do not verify products, prices, payments, delivery, or authenticity. All transactions are strictly user-to-user, and the app will not be responsible for disputes, losses, fraud, or damages.

  • License to Display User Content

By posting, users grant the app and Syllable Labs Pvt. Ltd. a non-exclusive license to display, share, and promote their content within the app and on social media (with credit).

  • Right to Remove Content / Suspend Accounts

Syllable Labs Pvt. Ltd. may remove content or suspend accounts at its sole discretion for violations such as spam, abuse, fake listings, scams, or Terms breach.

  • Privacy & Data Use

User data will be collected and used as per the Privacy Policy (for account access, communication, and app improvement). Users may request deletion of their data.

  • Limitation of Liability

Syllable Labs Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for losses, disputes, offline interactions, monetary transactions, or damages arising from use of the platform.

  • No Copying or Misuse of Platform Data

Users may not scrape, copy, redistribute, or use other users’ data (phone numbers, listings, photos, or posts) for marketing, spam, or business purposes.

Prohibited Content & Behavior (Not Allowed on the App)

Users must not post, share, message, sell, or promote any content that falls into these categories:

1. Illegal, Harmful, or Dangerous Content

  • Drugs, weapons, explosives, illegal items

  • Criminal activity, violence, threats, or self-harm content

  • Buying/selling banned items or stolen goods

2. Hate, Harassment & Abuse

  • Abuse, bullying, harassment, insults, personal attacks

  • Hate speech against any religion, caste, gender, race, nationality, or group

  • Defamation, character assassination, or targeted humiliation

3. Adult / Sexual / Obscene Content

  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, obscene or indecent content

  • Sexual comments, unwanted advances, or harassment of any kind

  • Sharing sexual content of or about minors (strict zero-tolerance)

4. Violence, Graphic Content & Extremism

  • Graphic, bloody, violent, or disturbing visuals

  • Promotion of extremism, terrorism, riots, militancy, or hate groups

5. Fake, Fraudulent, or Misleading Content

  • Scams, phishing, fraudulent buy/sell listings, fake giveaways

  • Fake news, rumours, misinformation about people or neighbourhood events

  • Impersonation of another person or business

6. Spam & Unwanted Promotions

  • Mass advertisements, bulk promotions, repetitive posts

  • Non-local ads, irrelevant marketing, chain messages, MLM/ponzi schemes

  • Bots, fake engagement, fake reviews or farmed likes

7. Privacy Violations

  • Sharing someone’s phone number, address, photos, CCTV, or personal info without consent

  • Posting screenshots of private chats without permission

8. Copyright & IP Violations

  • Posting images, artwork, text, or videos you don’t own or don’t have rights to

  • Using trademarks or logos without permission

9. Political & Religious Conflict Content

  • Content intended to provoke, divide, or create fights

  • Party propaganda, hate-forwarding, or communal incitement
    (Note: cultural or devotional content is allowed if respectful and peaceful)

10. Buy/Sell Restricted Items

  • Alcohol, tobacco, drugs, firearms, explosives, counterfeit goods

  • Anything prohibited by local law

  • Listings pretending to be something they are not

Consequences for Violations

Depending on severity:

  • Content removal

  • Feature restriction

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent account ban

  • Report to authorities (in cases of crime, minors, threats, or safety issues)

Community Guidelines (Focus on What Matters)

  1. Support Local First
    This platform exists to grow neighbourhood and home-based businesses, not outsiders or spam promotions.

  2. Buy/Sell Responsibly
    Only post genuine products, services, or pre-owned items. Be transparent, honest, and local.

  3. Voice of the Community
    Share updates, issues, and needs that truly matter to your neighbourhood—not forwards, rumours, or unrelated content.

  4. Respect & Safety First
    No abuse, hate, harassment, or sharing anyone’s details without consent. Disrespect = Removal.

  5. No Spam. No Fake Offers.
    Promotions are allowed only if local, useful, and relevant. No repeated posting or unsolicited messages.

  6. Help Each Other Grow
    Lift your neighbours—recommend good work, support small shops, share opportunities, and engage constructively.

  • Share helpful updates that benefit your neighborhood

  • Buy / Sell honestly and stay relevant to the community

  • Support Local shops, small & micro home based, businesses 

  • Be respectful in posts, comments & messages

 Don’ts

  • No spam, hate, abuse or personal attacks

  • No fake listings, scams, or illegal items

  • No sharing others’ info without consent

  • No unrelated forwards, politics, or controversy content
